NaNoWriMo - First update. [05 Oct 2004|02:15am] Dares I plan to include in novel ~ Include epigrams to the opening of every chapter. ~ Start your novel with; 'This day was just like all the other days - wet, cold, slimy and covered with alligators.' ~ Give MC a nickname that is nothing to do with their real nickname ~ Give MC a nickname that is longer than their real name. ~ Include a very harried seamstress, to appear at least three times in the novel. ~ Have one of your characters be transgendered. ~ Have someone say; "You just got salt in my ear, bitch!" in public. ~ Include the line; "Yes, sir! They're bigger than my head, sir!" ~ Include at least one terrible pick up line. ~ Have some random, unusal object appear in at least five scenes (preferably all) for no reason. ~ Go into lengthy detail about the rich culture and history about a random planet or city. Then, when you're done, blow it up. ~ Have your main character get stuck in an elevator, and devote an entire chapter to this. Even if elevators don't normally exist in your novel's world. ~ Randomly set one chapter in a world other than the one your novel is set in. ~ Mention ninjas, because ninjas > everything. (More specifically, try to include the line; 'Suddenly, they were attacked by ninjas.') ~ Have a character accidentally throw away something very important to them, and go digging through a dumpster to find it. ~ Use the weather that is currently happening outside while you're writing your story ALL the time. ~ Have a character who ends every sentence with; "in accordance with the prophecy." Bonus points if MC asks about the prophecy. ~ Once a week, have one of your friends come up with a line for your characters to say, and you have to include it, and have it not(? I'm not sure that word's meant to be there, I'll have to check it) make sense. ~ Include the line "Where the hell are your pants?!" That's all for now, there are others, but some of them are quite vital to the plot, and some I haven't picked up yet from the Dare thread. <3 you all. Happy writing. post comment

Time I updated. [11 Jan 2004|10:16pm] [ mood | bitchy ] [ music | Muse - Our Time Is Running Out ] This is due to recent events, and the fact that I have one of the signs from work that I took out of the elevator several months back on my floor, so when looking for something to write about last night, I looked down and saw the title phrase, 'Our Values'.
